Welcome to the ROSE Website
ROSE stands for ‘Reducing Occupational Stress in Employment’ and it has been produced to help all staff working with people with mental health problems and people with intellectual disabilities. It is well known that such work can be very stressful and yet there is very little support for workers in the sector that they can readily access. ROSE is designed to help professionals, such as yourself, manage and deal with stress when at work and provide you with help to maintain or improve your wellbeing.
You will notice there are two sets of what we call ‘learning sessions’ on this website. ‘Learning Sessions for All Staff’ deal with management of stress. ‘Learning Sessions for Managers’ aim to help you as a manager to improve the working environment so it is generally less stressful for all who work within it. The set of ‘Learning Sessions for Managers’ have been specifically developed to help managers, though all users of the ROSE website can access them. To get the most out of the ROSE Website please view the ROSE Introductory Video at the end of this page.
